AWFUL; KEEP LOOKING; MUCH BETTER RESORTS IN THE AREA.

We liked nothing. Do not think twice about staying at this location. It is dirty and not safe. I should have listened to what the other reviewers wrote. Lesson learned. I've rated this property the lowest rating I possible could so I am not sure why it is even coming up as a 2.5.

Our room: we didn't get a key the first four hours as the mysterious "manager" was coming with the key (only to find out we really didn't need it as the lock was broken!!), cable/electrical wires hanging all over the room (had to step over the hanging tv cord to get to the other side of the room), used bathroom towels upon arrival, no toilet paper, broken bathroom door, and after a few hours in the room the bottoms of our feet were black with dirt. There was no security at the entrance gate (we had to get out and go in the security room and open the gate ourselves!) and the restaurant was always filthy (dirty dishes on tables the entire time we were there, bar area messy/dirty). The reception area when we first checked in was also dirty and messy with junk everywhere including dirty dishes (disgusting!). The site description and photos by the hotel completely misrepresent the property. We were told we were getting an "upgrade" that looked out to the garden, which ended up being a dirt road and weeds. There was also a 10x12 foot pile of furniture and mattresses with tarp over it on the main road when you drive in, which looked similar to the gross furniture in our room. Speaking of....the furniture in our room had a very strong polyurethane smell. We woke up the next morning with migraines and sore throats. We had enough and said we were leaving and while we were willing to pay for the night we stayed, we wanted a refund for the 2nd and 3rd night. Once again the untrained and sparse staff said they had to "call the manager", which we heard no less than 5 times when we complained throughout our stay of the issues listed in this write-up. We packed up our items, went to a different - and beautiful resort in the area - and of course now we are in a battle with them. Booking.com was of no help (we won't be using their site again either). We've put a stop on the full payment and will fight to its fullest.

The interior decoration was very well done for Costa Rica. They need to have more staff and pay more attention to the details then it will be a place I would want to return to.

Too expensive for a low service and confort

I like the room, the beach, and the restaurant. Staff was kind.

Pool was dirty, with dead insects, Pool bar was close and abandoned, no pillow in the pool chairs, and no service arround the pool. Also we wait two times more than 10 minutes in the entrance gate, there was no body to open.. there is no free water in the room... small bottle cost 2$. At night very poor light illumination.

They charge 80$ for my 3kg dog, they charge 20$ , for a visit , they want me to pay 15$ for 1 h late check out. Not a good way to deal with a costumer

Unprofessional management, disgusting fascililties and the worst holiday weekend of my life.

Upon check in, which was relatively early in the evening as notified, there was not any staff member available to greet us nor open the gates to the property. When finally taken in the dark, by security to our villa, we were greeted with a room full of magets. As it was late, we told the staff member that was clearly security and not hotel guest relations, that there were bugs in the room, bathroom and even on our bed and in our bed linen. Upon retiring to bed, under the pillows even had these magets too. We were assured that this matter would be dealt with by hotel management in the morning. The following morning, of absolutely no sleep due to the amount of worm like creatures crawling upon our bodies- we did not get greeted or spoken to by any of the hotel staff regarding our issue. However, they came to immediately collect payment and only said “we know this is a big problem and we don’t know what to do”. Following these comments, we asked for a room change, or a clean room and we did not receive any apology, or assistance with this. That night, our room covered in magets: from floor to ceiling, on curtains, through out linens, inside towels, in the bathroom and even all over our luggage. We had yet another sleepless night of horror from these creatures. Without any help, assistance or recognition from the hotel staff. After a restless nights “vacation” I went to speak, yet again, to the hotel staff that were reluctant to even be found on property. I politely explained to them that after working for many years in the hotel industry, along with my partner whom I have traveled world wide with and both of us have lived in Australia, Dubai, Bahrain and throughout both North and South America; that we demanded a refund for the disgusting state in which we had to sleep. Keeping in mind this 5 star hotel was 250.00 usd a night- a small fortune for Central America. The hotel manager refused to come and speak to me regarding this issue.

I told the hotel staff that I would be remaining at the lobby until someone would speak to me regarding a refund, or in the very least, a man apology. I was then told she would not take the time to come to speak to me. Matters took a severe turn for the worst, when the hotel would not let me out of the gates claiming that I needed to sign a statement insuring that I would not notify the bank to with hold payment, or make a complaint. In other words, the hotel held us hostage until we were forced to sign a document. I have never been so insulted and so degraded in my life! The appalling customer service, the disgusting fasciities and the degrading manner of speech to both my partner and I was nothing short of cruel and discriminatory. I will be posting videos and pictures to support this evidence.

I would stay here again no doubt

The facilities were excellent and overall i am sure this hotel will be very popular the next upcoming years

Since i think the facilities are a bit new, there is still some work that needs to be done by management to coordinate for guest outdoor activities in the hotel, having bartenders in the pool etc. The food is also not bad, but overpriced.

Un lugar paradisiaco pero muy mal manejado.

El lugar es muy lindo, la playa al frente y solitaria, las instalaciones son bonitas y la habitación es excelente

Muy poco staff, tanto así que había que bajarse del carro y abrir el portón y cerrarlo, porque nunca estuvo el guarda, las otras personas que trabajaban las veía casi 12 horas seguidas o mas, algo que no me pareció correcto. Había una persona que era recepcionista y solanera, Habia alguien en la cocina que hacia el mismo desayuno todos los dias y había otra que era la mucama. Tambien había una persona que trabajaba en mantenimiento ese era el staff para un hotel que cobra mas de $150 la noche. Nunca vi a un supervisor o el gerente del Hotel. Algo que no entendí es que apenas entra uno hay una bodega abierta con muebles viejos.

Grandes espectativas pero no cumplidas

El hotel se encuentra al frente de la playa. El personal es atento en ayudar a poner los tumbones en la playa.

El restaurante del hotel es caro con respecto a la calidad, no es congruente con el precio. Y está muy lejos para comer fuera. La administración no ayuda a resolver problemas con eficacia, por lo que los empleados no pueden hacer mucho para ayudar a los huéspedes. Y eso es lamentable ya que uno siempre espera el mejor trato para disfrutar de la estadía. Aunque mi habitación tenía muy buenos muebles, la cama es demasiado blanda, amanecí con dolor de espalda.

Vacaciones de fin de semana

El hotel está casi que remodelado en un 100%, las habitaciones espectaculares muy cómodas, el hotel muy lleno de vegetación y tranquilo. Frente a la playa y sin todo lo malo de Jacó, pero igual muy cerca de San José. Totalmente recomendado y ojalá que hotel mejore el tema de la comida.

La comida en general, el precio muy elevado para la calidad que brindan, poco sabor, poca variedad en el menú, estando en la playa no hay cosas básicas que todo restaurante de playa tiene, un ceviche, un filete empanizado, una pizza por mencionar algo. Adicional un par de detalles como el wet bar de la piscina que estaba inundado quien sabe hace cuánto tiempo. Pero igual si volvería y comería en otro lugar. Soluciones fáciles.

El lugar esta muy bonito y bien cuidado, el personal fue muy atento y se esfuerza mucho. Felicito grandemente a las señoras Shirley, Noelia y Maryurie que hicieron una gran diferencia en nuestra estadia.

Hermoso hotel

La atención de Shirley es la que se lleva los aplausos, amable y atenta a las necesidades del huésped. Proactiva, esta muchacha es de lo mejor que tiene el hotel. Ella se merece un diez de diez. El hotel es hermoso, parece un pequeño pueblito. Las áreas verdes son perfectas. Felicitaciones al jardinero. Hay mariposas por todo lado, gracias a la selección de plantas que las atraen. Las habitaciones no pueden ser mas perfectas, todo en ellas son detalles escogidos cuidadosamente. Los muebles son muy finos y elegantes. La cama es increíblemente cómoda, es como dormir en un paraíso. La habitación es un reflejo de lo que se hace con gusto y amor. Nos encantó el hotel por la calidad con que lo mantienen cuidado. Los dueños deben sentirse orgullosos.

La comida es deficiente. Sinceramente creemos que deberían cambiar el chef. Lo que menos nos gustó fue que había una persona que supuestamente era manager, estuvo sentada los dos días que estuvimos ahí, durante todo el tiempo. Nunca se le vio ayudar a los trabajadores, lo único que hacía era estar sentada viendo su teléfono. Muy fea impresión ya que al principio ni siquiera sabíamos si era un huésped o qué, la señora no vestía de forma adecuada ni llevaba identificación para saber quién era. Nos parece que en un hotel los empleados deben vestir uniforme, y llevar un gáfete con su nombre y puesto. Algo que no ocurrió. Esta persona debe valorar muy bien su trabajo, y su forma de dirigirse mientras se encuentra en el hotel. Otro punto por mejorar es que cuando llegamos tuvimos que buscar la recepción durante quince minutos, no había guarda en la casetilla, ni rótulos que indiquen dónde se encuentra la recepción. Este hotel es hermoso, pero parece un laberinto, por lo que es fácil vagar, deben recordar que ustedes lo conocen porque trabajan ahí, los huéspedes no. Además faltan sillas en la parte de la playa; hay unas sombrillas preciosas, pero sólo cuatro sillas, podrían mejorar en eso también.

Las habitaciones muy lindas y súper limpias ( recién remodeladas) La atención en el check in con Shirley muy buena La ubicación del hotel frente a la playa es magnífica Un lugar para relajarse y estar lejos del ruido y tumulto de otras playas

El restaurante muy malo y súper caro, después de la primer cena optamos por comer fuera el resto de la estadía El servicio bastante deficiente considerando que había muy poca gente en el hotel, nunca nos dieron toallas en la piscina

Un lugar increíble

Todo nos encantó, la habitación estaba impecable, la cama comodisima, las instalaciones en general muy lindas y limpias. El personal es definitivamente una de las cosas a resaltar, muy atentos y pendientes de cada detalle y con una sonrisa cada minuto del día, nos hicieron sentir increíble. La ubicación frente al mar con esas hermosas áreas verdes que permiten desde el hotel ver el hermoso atardecer es inmejorable. Es definitivamente un lugar para volver.

Solo podría decir que la señal de internet no nos llegaba a la habitación pero eso fue solo un defecto de la señal en ese momento según lo que nos explicó uno de los chicos de recepción.

Potencial enorme, se puede mejorar mucho

Lindas instalaciones muy cerca del mar y cerca de la ciudad. Playa inmensa. Parte del personal muy amable.

Desayuno muy pobre, frutas, pero casi no hay opciones vegetarianas o saludables, cama no muy comoda,baño sin espacio para apoyar cosas, una única piscina adultos / niños. Se fue el chef y redujeron el menú. Pedimos room service y sólo nos dieron opción de ensalada.
